/r/changemyview is an Internet forum on Reddit where the community of participants discuss controversial topics for the purpose of understanding opposing viewpoints.

The forum was established by Kal Turnbull in 2013.[1] Turnbull is Scottish and was 17 years old at the time.[1]

Conversations in the forum have been the subject of research on interaction dynamics.[3][4][5][6][7]
