Ziya River (Chinese: 子牙河) is one of the five major branches of Hai River system in northern China. The total length of Ziya River is 730 km and the size of its drainage basin is 78.7 thousand squared kilometers. The discharge rate of Ziya River is about 1 m3/s. Ziya River derives from Wutai Mountain in Shanxi province and drains into Hai River near Xian. Notable tributaries of Ziya River include Hutuo River, Fuyang River and Qingshui River. It shares the same channel with Hai River near the Southern Canal. A new artificial channel was constructed to connect it to Bohai Sea near Tianjin with the name of New Ziya River.
