Zaida, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Zaida is a ..... and union council in Swabi District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.[1] It is located at 34°4'0″N 72°28'0E with an altitude of 306 metres (1007 feet).[2] It has been the centre of Aba Khel subtribe of Mandanr Yousafzai along with Hund.
History
Zaida is one of the oldest trading centres of the area and its bazaar is one of the oldest in the district. The history of Zaida and its khans dates back to the pre-Islamic era.
Recent events
- Local government, elections and Rural Development Department (Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa).[3]
- On 30 May 2015, local government elections were held peacefully at Zaida city and Riaz Ali Shah was selected as member Union Council[4]
- Pakistan Air Force training aircraft crashed[5] in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
- On Monday 25, 2015 at 10:17 AM, a training aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force crashed in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province; both pilots of the aircraft ejected safely but sustained injuries. PAF spokesperson Air Commodore SM ALi said that a K-8 trainer aircraft was destroyed when it crashed during a training mission in Zaida village of KP's Swabi district. No loss of civilian life or property was reported on the ground as plan landed in open fields. Pictures

- Fazal Muhammad Khan born in June 1936- January 2016, a prominent Accountant, Financial Advisor and an Economist. He originates from the Princely State Amb and descends from Nawab Mir Madad Khan of Amb. Many of the same origin who are indeed nawabs are living in Zaida Swabi. Mr Fazal Muhammad Khan served in different organisations such as KPT, National Bank, Food Department, Saleem Group of Industries as Chief Accountant, served as advisor to Late Governor KPK Ghafoor Khan Hoti. He has to his credit to succeed in establishing Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has five sons among his sons the youngest son Mr Shakil Ahmad Khan is a prominent lawyer (Barrister) working in United Kingdom. Mr Fazal Muhammad Khan lived a modest life. He was famous for his honesty and corrupt free living life style. His autobiography (unknown warrior) will soon be published in London.
