ZWCAD Software Co., Ltd. (short name ZWSOFT) is a CAD/CAM software provider headquartered in Guangzhou, China. [1]Its main business is to develop computer-aided design software products for 2D and 3D design use, and it began doing overseas business in 2004.[2] So far it has built its business network in more than 80 countries and the number of its end users has surpassed 550,000.

It was founded in 1998 as Guangzhou Chinaweal Longteng Technology Co., Ltd. and changed the name to "ZWCAD Software Co., Ltd."[3] in 2007. In the same year, the company became a founding member of the Open Design Alliance (ODA).[4] It has three R&D centres, separately located in Guangzhou, Wuhan and Melbourne, Florida (USA).

ZWCAD Architecture

ZWCAD Architecture 2017 is based on ZWCAD 2017 SP1,and it can automatically create and modify elevations and sections, which greatly helps to streamline process and saves a lot of time.[7]

ZWCAD Mechanical

ZWCAD Mechanical is a manufacturing-specialized product for mechanical 2D drawings.[8]

ZWCAD CADPockets

For users who are always on the go, the CAD Pockets app for iOS and Android devices works seamlessly with ZWCAD 2017 and offers a powerful mobile solution for sharing project data with clients and team members.[9]

ZWCAD Viewer

ZWCAD Viewer, was designed for DWG file viewing and plotting.ZWCAD Viewer is able to measure distance between objects, area of a closed shape, mass and volume of a 3D model, regions or coordinates on the drawings.[10]

ZWCAD Classic

ZWCAD Classic was released to celebrate the 15th birthday of its flagship product ZWCAD and reward all the customers and users for their support in the past years.[11]

Compatibility

ZWCAD's native file format is DWG, so it can open, edit, and save any existing DWG file generated by DWG Versions from 2.5 to 2007, without conversions or data loss. Therefore, ZWCAD is compatible with a wide range AutoCAD-generated content.[13]

Language

ZWCAD is available in more than 10 languages including English, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese,German,Russian,French,Korean,Chinese,Polish,and Vietnamese. This multi-language support was not only translated but highly localized.More other languages versions are under construction.

Code-level Compatible [14]

ZRX, ARX and .NET are now code-level compatible. Lisp routines can now run directly on ZWCAD with only a few modifications.New APIs enable developers to port applications to ZWCAD 10 times faster.[15]

Easy to use

ZWCAD has multi-language support and multiple versions[16] for users from different fields,making it easy to use.ZWCAD 2017 offers the classic interface with drop-down menus.[17]

Smart Innovation

Additional Smart Innovation tools to look forward to include a filter for selecting drawing features, called SmartSelect, and SmartPeek, which gives users a quick preview of drawings by pressing Ctrl + Tab.[18]

Mobile Platform（IOS and Andriod）

ZWCAD DWG Viewer and ZWCAD Pocket are available in IOS system.Users can download from apple store or Google play.The mobile devices enable users to opens directly any file to DWG format, without loss or conversion.It allows people to work with 2D DWG files and 3D drawings. Users can create, edit, and annotate whenever they need to.[19]
