Yongwoo Lee

Yongwoo Lee (born in Seoul) is an art historian, critic and curator.[1]

Biography

Yongwoo Lee is executive director of the Shanghai Himalayas Museum. He is the president of the IBA (International Biennial Association) since 2014.[2]

Curatorial career

Yongwoo Lee is the founding director of the Gwangju Biennale, established in 1995, and served as president of the Gwangju Biennale Foundation for six years (2008-2014). He is the founder and executive director of Shanghai Project since 2015.[3]

His published books include: Information and Reality (Fruitmarket Gallery Edinburgh),[4] Nam June Paik (Samsung Publication),[5][6]
