Datuk Yap Pian Hon (叶炳汉; born 4 November 1943) is one of the most senior Barisan Nasional leaders in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. He is the candidate for the Serdang Parliamentary Seat for the 13th Malaysia's General Election. Although already in his seventies, Yap Pian Hon is energetic and optimistic for the upcoming General Election.[1]

Political career

Yap served as the Serdang Member of Parliament since 1995. Even before Serdang was a parliamentary seat Yap was the state seat holder for three terms since 1974. Yap was a former DAP Democratic Action Party member and had left the party for MCA Malaysian Chinese Association as he claimed that Lim Kit Siang the DAP party chairman as a dictator.[2]

One of his most famous contribution for the people of Serdang is the establishment of 1 Malaysia Clinic in the Serdang area. The clinic would cater to almost 200,000 individual in 30 housing areas in the particular area.[3]
