Yandy.com is an American online retailer and fashion design company focusing on lingerie, swimwear, Halloween costumes, and women’s apparel. In 2016 Yandy held the first ever Halloween costume fashion show at New York Fashion Week.

History

Yandy.com is an online women’s intimates apparel retailer, originally based out of the residence of its co-founders.[1] The company was founded in 2007[2] by Chad Horstman and his brother Evan[3] in Scottsdale, Arizona.[4] Chad Horstman served as the company’s CEO from its founding until 2017 when Thom Brodeur became the new CEO. Horstman remains a member of the company’s Board of Directors.[5] By 2015 the company employed 200 people.[1]

Apparel

Yandy.com originally sold only lingerie, but expanding to Halloween costumes in their first year. In 2010, the company began selling its own branded costumes.[6] The company now creates lingerie, everyday intimates,[7][8] Halloween costumes,[9] swimwear,[10] and other women’s apparel.[11] As a part of its lingerie collection, it has produced a line of Disney princess lingerie sets.[7] Halloween costumes have included looks inspired by political figures,[12] celebrities,[13] memes,[14][15] cultural events,[16] and popular culture trends,[17][18] along with some more common Halloween themes.[1][19] Yandy.com also carries plus-sized products.[20]

Fashion shows and pageants

Yandy.com’s swimwear collections have been shown at New York Fashion Week,[21] Miami Swim Week,[22] and Scottsdale Fashion Week.[23] The company also produced the first ever Halloween costume fashion show at New York Fashion Week in September 2016.[24][25] The show, staged at Pier 59 Studios,[26] featured 39 different costumes designed by the company.[27] In 2017 Yandy.com became the swimsuit sponsor for the 2017 Miss USA Pageant, providing the swimsuits for each of the competition’s contestants. The company later sold each design online through its website. The swimsuits were each designed by Pilar Quintana, the company’s vice-president of merchandising.[10]
