Yamaha XT550
Produced in Japan by the Yamaha Motor Company for two years only, 1981 and 1982, the Yamaha XT 550 has now reached mythological status in countries like Italy and Greece. Thanks to a ground-breaking tank design, single over-head four valves camshafts, monoshock rear suspension and first on a motorcycle two-stage YDIS intake system, the queen of dual-purpose could hit 95 mph (152 km/h) in full comfort. Compared to it's predecessors XT/TT/SR 500, the XT 550 engine is a replacement rather than a descendant.
