Xinjiekou Station (Chinese: 新街口站) is an interchange station between Line 1 and Line 2 of the Nanjing Metro. It is located in Xinjiekou, the central business and commercial district of Nanjing. The largest station in the system, Xinjiekou station has 25 officially marked exits.[1] On September 30, 2016 the station served a peak volume of 130,500 passengers.[2] Line 1 and Line 2 have another interchange station: Yuantong Station.
Opening dates
Xinjiekou first opened on August 12, 2005, with the opening of Line 1. On May 28, 2010, Xinjiekou became an interchange when Line 2 began operation.
