- Xhosa people, a Bantu ethnic group who live in south-central and southeasterly South Africa (mostly in the Eastern Cape and easterly Western Cape provinces), to which their ancestors emigrated c. AD 500 from west-central Africa
- Xhosa language, one of the 11 official languages of South Africa, principally spoken by the Xhosa people
- Xhosa Wars, a series of nine wars between 1779 and 1879, fought between the Xhosa people and European settlers
