Wulan is a 2006-2007 Indonesian soap opera that airs on RCTI on Monday to Friday. Written by Kitta Utara and directed by Noto Bagaskoro. Produced by SinemArt Production, it stars Dhini Aminarti, Giovanni L. Tobing, Alice Norin, Asmirandah, Rio Reifan, Chacha Frederica, Shireen Sungkar, Uci Bing Slamet, Hengky Solaiman, Rima Melati, Nanny Somanegara, Yadi Timo and Ana C. Pinem. It airs at 21:00-22:00 WIB, 22:00-23:00 WITA, and 23:00-00:00 WIT.

Synopsis

Wulan (Dhini Aminarti) Who was nine years had a relationship with Budi (Giovanni L. Tobing) Have to face the fact lost his true love. This starts since Budi moved from his old job to new job as personal assistant to directress company of Alam Kencana Hotel Group, Aline (Alice Norin) Who was young and beautiful.

Because of often they spend time together, Aline then fell in love with Budi. Aline who is aggressive and strict just decided that they are dating , without give opportunity to Budi to think. Budi felt trapped in a situation for the sake of ambition to smooth his career , while on the other side he had been too close to Wulan's Family. Budi who was obsessed with richnesses, see this is an opportunity very nice. Aline Implemented more intensively expressed the feelings want to be with Budi, Budi is increasingly difficult to break up with Wulan. Mainly when Asih (Uci Bing Slamet) Wulan's Mother suddenly have to operated on because heart disease who was years of her relapse.

As a first child , Wulan have to replace the position of her father who have died in take care of their families. She has Little Brother, Nugroho (Rio Reifan) or often called Nunu and the last one, Shinta (Shireen Sungkar) Not to mention Tati (Nanny Somanegara) Asih's Mother in law who is also to go with them. Although Nunu has been working , but his incomes are not enough to help Wulan support the needs of a family.

Nunu had a friend from young named Dona (Cha Cha Frederica) The only daughter of family of Jayadi (Yadi Timo) owner of Company services courier place of Nunu work. Dona have thought that she and Nunu are dating. And Nunu never gives heart to Donna. He never consider dona are more than friends, but Nunu actually is not a rude youth. One day he was crashed by a rich girl. The girl actually is Aline's sister, Baby (Asmirandah) unlike Aline who is unfriendly and very similar her father is crazy work and very bossy, baby is more clever and friendly.

Baby gets angry and protested see how Aline treats their mother or opposite. But because Aline think that she had power, as a substitute for their father, Aline as an arbitrary treats her member family such as her office's employee. So baby so more often refused. When she crashed Nunu, deliberately Baby wastes her money to replace Nunu's motorcycle with a new and expensive motorcycle. Later they so close.

Wulan did not know that baby is a sister of woman who seizes budi from her side. Wulan also did not tell her mother that she did not establish a love affair with Budi, but budi indeed has changed. Budi is rude and cold. But Budi's attitude would be not only for Wulan ,but also against Aline. Aline is trying to pray and entreat the favor Budi by means of a commune with Wahyu (Hengky Solaiman), but instead will make budi is more getting rude to his father ,but instead make aline getting a love to Budi.

While wulan is more getting tormented because she still could not accept reality should release memories of 9 years with Budi and face a situation that Budi already not love her and Budi will marry with Aline. At the time asih is in the hospital they come to Dira when it was also being treated and one a room with Asih. The relationship of family is getting to close. Dira has a grandson named Awan (Aditya Herpavi Rachman) Awan love Wulan, at first the dira agreed to their relation, But at the time know that Wulan is pregnant with Budi's child, Dira changed at all does not agree Awan and Wulan's relationship. Although Awan is able to accept all of Wulan's Disadvantage and Pregnancy.

Controversy

Soap opera Wulan is also accused as a plagiarism of Korean drama titled Yellow Handkerchief. Although is accused of plagiarism, SinemArt did not recognize and include the original title of its Korean drama in the title credits.[1]
