Pat Down Scandal

On April 14, 2017, sheriffs deputies placed the school on lockdown for four hours and conducted a warrantless drug sweep. Around 40 officers patted down about 900 students, allegedly cupping their genitals, reaching inside bras, touching girls' bare breasts, patting their buttocks and placing their hands inside students' underwear. No drugs were discovered, and a the Southern Center for Human Rights filed a lawsuit on the students' behalf. [1]
