The World Village Festival (Finnish: Maailma kylässä, Swedish: Världen i byn) is an annual festival in Helsinki, Finland that exhibits cultures from around the world. The programme includes music from ethno to pop and rock, as well as dance, theater, literature and food from different countries. It also hosts exhibitions on multiculturality, globalization and development aid.

Between 1995 and 2005 the festival was held every other year, and since 2005 annually in late May.

According to the organizers, some 70,000 to 80,000 people visited the 2011 festival, while the number of exhibitors exceeded 400.[1]

Israel

A week before the 2015 started, official Israeli organisations such as the Jewish National Fund were informed that they would not be allowed to participate, notwithstanding approvals that were issued in advance.[2]
