Synopsis
Mia Sundström, an up-and-coming architect, is about to marry Tim Brattahall, her business partner. In the opening scenes, Mia and Tim fly from their home in Stockholm to Göteborg where they attend a birthday party for her engaged father, Lasse. At the party, Mia meets Frida, a school teacher and the eldest daughter of Lasse's fiancee, Elisabeth. Mia and Frida exchange many glances, portending mutual attraction.
In an attempt to get his daughter to better know her upcoming mother and sisters-in-law, Lasse insists to Mia to accompany them for a weekend getaway. Mia and Frida travel with Elisabeth to the Danish island of Fyn to the former summer home that Elisabeth and Lasse plan to share. During the three-day and two-night excursion, Mia and Frida are forced to share a bedroom. During the weekend, Frida, an 'out' lesbian, continues to be intrigued by Mia, whose feelings are mutual but is conflicted about her relationship with Tim. Mia and Frida's feelings for one another blossom, which eventually lead to them having sex. Afterwards, Mia returns to Stockholm with Tim, while Frida returns to her life partner Elin.
However, neither woman is unable to forget about their secret passionate time they spent and Mia is left to decide whether to suppress her romantic feelings for Frida and go on with her wedding plans, or break off her engagement to Tim and pursue a new life with Frida.
