Wind power in Uruguay
Wind power in Uruguay generates a small but rapidly growing proportion of the country's electricity.[1] Projections consider that, at the end of 2016, Uruguay could become the country with the largest energy coverage with wind power.[2]
Wind farms
There are about 30 wind farms in Uruguay:[3]
- Peralta wind farm (Tacuarembó Department)[4]
- Sierra de los Caracoles (Maldonado Department)[5]
- Libertad (San José Department)[6]
- Valentines (Treinta y Tres Department)[6]
