William D. Wood
William D. Wood (December 14, 1822 – February 2, 1867) was an American Union brevet brigadier general during the period of the American Civil War. He began the war serving as aide-de-camp to Hamilton Gamble, governor of Missouri.[1] He received his appointment as brevet brigadier general dated to March 13, 1865.[2]
