"Where I Wanna Be" is the title track from Donell Jones' second album. Written and produced by Jones and Kyle West, the song charted at number 29 on the Hot 100 chart and number two on the R&B chart. The song is also a prequel to the original song titled "Where You Are (Is Where I Wanna Be) (Part 2)" from his next album in 2002.
Legacy
Also in 2017, singer Mariah Carey sampled the song for her single "I Don't", which featured rapper YG in the fifteen studio album.[1]
