Westmar is a rural locality in the Western Downs Region, Queensland, Australia.[1]
Geography
Apart from the Kinkora State Forest on the eastern boundary of the locality, the land is used for agriculture, predominantly on a freehold basis.[2]
The Moonie River passes from east to west through the northern part of the locality. The Moonie Highway passes from east to west through the southern part of the locality.[2]
History
Westmar State School opened on 7 March 1962.[3]
Education
Westmar State School is a government co-educational primary school (P-6) at 18425 Moonie Highway. In 2015, it had an enrolment of 22 students organised into 2 classes with 3 teachers (2 full-time equivalent).[4]
