History

The school building was built in 1966, and the middle school wing was added in 1974. The school was a part of [[Wes-Del Community Schools Corporation|Harrison-Washington Community Schools Corporation}} from 1966 until the corporation changed its name to Wes-Del Community Schools Corporation in 2004.

The school held a red carpet awards ceremony in 2016, which nominated students with the best personal projects and other things. This ceremony also awarded staff. The school began to allow students to work on personal projects that interest them during a 25-minute period called "Pride Time." In the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year, the school began their own video news program announcing sport events, interviewing people and other school news. The videos were dubbed "[[Wes-Del News" or "WDN" and are edited, filmed and stars students of the school. WDN is uploaded to YouTube every other week and is also presented in every classroom during "Pride Time."
