Wajahat Rauf is a Pakistani film director, producer, writer and actor from Karachi.[1] He made his directorial debut with the road-comedy film Karachi Se Lahore which was successful at the box office.[2] He has also won the Hum Award for Best Telefilm for his telefilm Main Kukkoo Aur woh.

Life and career

Wajahat was born in Karachi, Pakistan. He attended Greenwich University in Karachi then he moved to United States where he attended California State University in Fullerton. Wggajahat came back to Pakistan and started his career as a filmmaker. He told in an interview that he decided to choose production because he had a love for movies since the age of seven. He has directed many drama serials including Shareek-e-Hayat and Jab We Wed[3] Wajahat made his directorial debut with the road film Karachi Se Lahore and also made special appearance in the film.[4] Wajahat has also directed Lahore Se Aagey which is the sequel of Karachi Se Lahore and features Yasir Hussain and Saba Qamar in the lead cast.[5]
