WNBD-LD is a low-powered NBC and CBS-affiliated television station for the Delta region of Mississippi licensed to Grenada. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 33 from a transmitter northeast of Inverness. Owned by Northwest Broadcasting, WNBD shares separate administrative and studio buildings on Washington Avenue in Greenville with sister station ABC affiliate WABG-TV. It also operated CBS affiliate WXVT under a shared services agreement, owned by John Wagner, until moving the affilation to WNBD-LD. Due to the low-power transmission, its over-the-air digital signal just misses Grenada but covers the major cities in the viewing area.

Syndicated programming on the channel includes: Access Hollywood, The Doctors, Family Feud, and Extra. On 15.1, Syndicated programming on WXVT includes Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Divorce Court, and Judge Joe Brown.

WNBD-LD is the first NBC affiliate ever based in the market—prior to its launch, viewers in the region received NBC programming on cable or over-the-air from KTVE in El Dorado, Arkansas, WLBT in Jackson, and/or WMC-TV in Memphis, Tennessee.[1][2] Soon after WNBD-LD's sign-on, it became available on Suddenlink Communications channel 9, with WLBT and WMC remaining in their channel positions.[3] While current FCC must-carry rules do not require carriage of low-powered stations, Commonwealth has the right to require cable systems to carry WNBD as part of retransmission consent compensation for carrying WABG.

Commonwealth Broadcasting Group agreed to sell WNBD-LD, WABG-TV, and WFXW-LD to Cala Broadcast Partners for $11.7 million on October 30, 2015. Cala is jointly owned by Brian Brady (who owns several other television stations, mostly under the Northwest Broadcasting name) and Jason Wolff (who owns radio and television stations through Frontier Radio Management).[4] Concurrently with this acquisition, Cala agreed to purchase WXVT from H3 Communications; a month later, it assigned its right to purchase that station to John Wagner.[5] The sale was completed on August 1, 2016.[6]

Newscasts

WNBD-LD simulcasts its morning newscasts with WABG-TV, and carries a brief news update weeknights at 10PM.

On 15.1, WXVT's news department is quite small compared with other Big Three stations, even considering the size of the market. It has always been well behind WABG in the ratings. Unlike most CBS affiliates in the Central Time Zone, this station does not air midday news during the week. It also does not offer a full two-hour weekday morning show. WXVT has won numerous Mississippi Associated Press awards including first place for "Best Newscast", "Best Weathercast", "Best Feature Story", "Best Sport Story", and "Best Spot News Story".
