WHWK, known on-air as "The Hawk", is a radio station licensed to Binghamton, New York with a country music format launched by Stoner Broadcasting Program Director Mike Jeffries in January 1984. The list of popular personalities that programmed the Hawk over the history of the station included, Eric Dino, John Davison, Ed Walker, and Don Brake. The Hawk is currently being programmed by former Whale morning show host, Doug Mosher, who also serves as Operations Manager (OM), replacing John Davison (2017) who was the voice of "The Hawk" for over 30 years. Located at 98.1 FM, the station is currently owned by Townsquare Media.
Current staff include Glenn Pitcher, Traci Taylor, Doug Mosher, and Rich Birdsall.
In 2009, 98.1 The Hawk celebrated its 25th anniversary as a country station. WHWK is regularly the highest rated station in the Binghamton Nielson market.
