W. Jayasiri

W. Jayasiri (born 1 May 1947) is a Sri Lankan actor, script writer and lyricist.[1] He started his career in 1973 from the movie Dahakin Ekak which was directed and produced by Meril Albert. He is known for his roles in Tani Tatuwen Piyabanna (2002), Death on a Noble Day (2014) and Me Mage Sandai (2000).[2]

W. Jayasiri was born in Hirimbura, Galle and was educated at Vidyaloka College, Galle. He won a Presidential Film Award for the Best Supporting Actor for his role in the movie Duwata Mawaka Misa in 1997.
