Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) is in Pitampura, New Delhi, India and grants the degrees of Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC), Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA), Masters of Computer Application (MCA) and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LLB). It is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University[1] and recognized by the Bar Council of India.[2] Admission to VIPS is strictly through the CET conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

The official business school of VIPS is Delhi School of Business, which provides AICTE approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management Programme (PGDM)

Vivekananda institute of professional studies is emerged as a leading institution in GGSIPU. VIPS is actively involved in organising and annual law fest namely as 'Gravity' where many colleges participate in activities. Vivekananda Law School (VLS), VIPS organised an International Moot Court Competition, IMC in 2014 which was highly successful and was supported by many legal organisations. Other than IMC, many fests are organised by the departments of VIPS. The college has an online learning portal where students are encouraged to study outside the classroom or college. Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies has a good placement records. The institution has a separate placement cell run by the faculty members.

History

The institute was established in 1998 and registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. It was founded by the Strength India Educational Society in 2000. founded by Dr S C vats and his Sons Mr Suneet Vats and Mr Vineet Vats

The Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) has been accredited “A” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore in the 11th meeting of Standing Committee held on 19 January 2016.[3]

Student Society

Student clubs and societies have always played an important role in the life of the college, and are seen as vital to student development. Each academic subject has a society which sponsors lectures and discussions. The popular extra-curricular societies and clubs engage in activities concerned with literature, debating, dramatics, dance, music, photography, fashion, technical.
