VivaColombia is a Colombian low-cost airline based in Medellín, Colombia.[2] VivaColombia is the first true low cost carrier in Colombia. It is partly owned by the founders of Europe's biggest low cost airline, Ryanair.
Plans
At first Viva Colombia had two options for operation of aircraft: the Boeing 737 or Airbus A320. In a press conference on November 10, 2011, was announced to the public that in 2012, the aircraft chosen will be the A320 fitted with CFM engines high performance for the airline's better economy and improved consumer prices. They serve 23 routes within Colombia and 4 international destinations to Panama, Quito, Lima and Miami.
Irelandia Aviation is the world’s premier low cost airline developer, led by Declan Ryan, one of the founders of Ryanair. Irelandia has successfully developed 6 LCC's around the world to date, namely Ryanair, Allegiant, Tigerair, VivaAerobus, VivaColombia and Viva Air Peru.

VivaColombia started operations with a fleet of eight Airbus A320-200s. On March 3, the first A320 arrived (ex-Thomas Cook Airlines.) The three aircraft on order will be transferred from Turkish Airlines.[7]
