Vĩnh Cửu is a rural district of Đồng Nai Province in the Southeast region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 106,067.[1] The district covers an area of 1122 km². The district capital lies at Vĩnh An.[1]
The Vĩnh Cửu nature reserve is an area of (mostly secondary) seasonal tropical forest and links directly with Cát Tiên National Park; together they provide contiguous habitat for a number of endangered species including yellow-cheeked gibbons, guar and Asian elephant. The Trị An lake (hồ) and dam form a substantial part of this district.
