Vikram Adve is a professor in and interim head[2] of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research group created the LLVM compiler infrastructure project.[3] He is one of the pioneers of LLVM Project. His research interests include compilers and programming languages, and their use toward software security, system reliability, and parallel programming.[4] Adve along with other main authors were given the 2012 ACM Software System Award for the LLVM project.[1]
