Viking Global Investors is an American-based hedge fund, based in Greenwich, Connecticut.
It was established in October 1999 by its CEO and risk manager, Ole Andreas Halvorsen.[1] In July 2014, they had $28.8 billion under management.[2]
On June 12, 2017, Viking Global Investors announced that it was returning $8 billion to investors to "reset to a smaller size."[3]
