Veselin Vujović (Cyrillic: Веселин Вујовић, born on 18 January 1961) is a retired Montenegrin handball player who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics and in the 1988 Summer Olympics. He is currently managing the Slovenian national team and RD Koper 2013.

Career

During his career he played for RK Metaloplastika, Barcelona and Granollers. With Metaloplastika he won two handball champions league (1985 and 1986) and one with Barcelona (1991). He was first player to receive title of the IHF World Player of the Year.[1]

In 1984 he was a member of the Yugoslav handball team which won the gold medal at the Olympics. He played all six matches and scored 28 goals. Four years later he was part of the Yugoslav team which won the bronze medal. He played all six matches again and scored 29 goals.

In 1986 he was named as the best athlete of Yugoslavia.
