Veli-Matti Savinainen (born 5 January 1986) is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward who currently plays for Tappara of Liiga, the Finnish Elite League. He has previously played for the Liiga club, Ässät, HC Ugra of the Russian, Kontinental Hockey League, as well as Leksands IF of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He Joined Leksands IF on a one-year contract on 30 August 2014 after spending the 2013-14 season with Ugra.[1]
