Velfjord is a former municipality in Nordland county, Norway. Velfjord is located in the present-day municipality of Brønnøy. The administrative centre was the village of Hommelstø. The municipality surrounded the large fjord, Velfjorden, after which the municipality is named. The local Velfjord Church lies just west of Hommelstø.[1]
History
