Vani Ganapathy also spelled as Vani Ganpati is an Indian classical dancer. She is trained in Bharatanatyam and is considered a foremost exponent of the dance form.[1] In 1978, Vani married actor Kamal Haasan. They divorced ten years later.
Early life
She started training at the age of three in Calcutta under T. A. Rajalakshmi. She moved to Bombay when she was young and started studying under Pill
Performing career
She started performing when she was seven. She travelled across the world for her performances. She lives in Bangalore, where she set up Sanchari, a dance academy.[2]
