Valdeķi Manor (Latvian: Valdeķu muižas pils) is a manor house in the historical region of Zemgale, in Latvia.
History
Built in 1882,[1] it belonged to Latvian publisher and journalist Antons Benjamiņš from 1932 until his death in 1939. After that it belonged to his widow Emīlija Benjamiņa until her deportation to a Soviet labor camp in 1941. The Benjamiņš family recovered ownership in 1995, and the building has housed a museum dedicated to photographer and film manufacturer Juris Benjamiņš, the adopted son of Antons and Emīlija, since 1998.
