V1 Group

V1 Group Limited (V1 Group) (SEHK: 0082) (previously named as VODone) is a Chinese Beijing-based video and telemedia service corporation which was founded by Dr Zhang Lijun in 2005 and listed in Hong Kong in 2006. It operates four businesses: V1 Portal, V1 Broadband, VODone Broadcasting Union System (V1 BUS) and V1 Wireless.

V1 Portal (www.v1.cn) targets the Internet video user community with Internet video programmes as the major content. V1 Broadband is a platform which broadcasts its in-house produced Internet video programmes by leveraging on its ability to broadcast live programmes. V1 BUS is monitored by AC Nielsen of its broadcast data and supported by DoubleClick on the technical side. In April 2009, the Company acquired Domouse, an Internet community network[1]

On March 5, 2011 V1 Group Limited entered into an exclusive agreement with SmartTrans Technology Company to distribute V1 Group Limited's V1 mobile lottery application. V1 Group Limited's V1 app gives mobile users the ability to buy lottery tickets directly from the China Welfare Lottery Management Center, one of the only two legal state-owned lottery providers in China.[2][3]
