Uzair Jaswal is a Pakistani singer, songwriter and actor.[2]
Personal life
Uzair Jaswal was born into a Muslim family in the USA. He is part of the trio of the Jaswal brothers who are famed stars in the Pakistani entertainment industry.
Career
Starting his career at the age of 19, Uzair was able to carve a niche for himself in the Pakistani music industry in a very short span of time. Some of his popular singles include "Tere Bin", "Jaanvey", "Bolay" and "Yaheen". His track "Nindiya Ke Paar", featured in Coke Studio, became a huge hit, increasing his fan base exponentially. He was the youngest performer of Coke Studio Pakistan at the time.
Expanding his talents further, Jaswal branched out into acting. He has worked in three Pakistani movies, namely, Gol Chakkar, Slackistan and Jalaibee. He recently debuted on Pakistani TV with the drama series, Moray Saiyaan, on ARY Digital.[3]
Entry in Bollywood
Jaswal made his playback singing debut in the Bollywood film Ek Paheli Leela in 2015. He sang the song titled "Tere Bin Nahi Laage", which was a recreated version of his earlier hit, "Tere Bin". The song was recreated by Amaal Mallik with a few lyrics added by Kumaar for the film.[4][5]
