The United States (USA) has sent athletes to every celebration of the Pan American Games. The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) is the National Olympic Committee for the United States.

American athletes have won a total of 3936 medals at the Pan American Games and another 11 at the Pan American Winter Games.

The United States has won more gold, silver, bronze, and overall medals than any other country in the Pan American Games, and more gold, bronze, and overall medals in the Pan American Winter Games.
