The northern Surucua trogon (Trogon aurantius) is a species of bird in the family Trogonidae formerly considered conspecific with the southern Surucua trogon (Trogon surrucura). It is endemic to eastern Brazil where it found between Salvador in the north, and Sao Paulo in the south.[1]
