Tricia Griffith (born 1965) is a business executive currently serving as the CEO and president of Progressive.[1] She was appointed to the roles in May 2016, and became CEO on July 1, 2016.[2] The appointment received a degree of press.[3][4] She replaced Glenn Renwick.[5]

In 2016 Fortune named her No. 18 on its annual most powerful women in business list.[1] She was the highest ranking new addition to the list that year.[6]

Early life and education

She attended Illinois State University for her undergraduate degree, and then took part in the advanced management program at University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.[7]

Career

Griffith became claims representative at Progressive in 1988, and after a number of managerial positions, became the Chief Human Resources Officer in 2002.[8]
