Toy Newkirk, Best known for her starring role “Sheila Kopecky” in one of the highest grossing New Line Cinema mega hit “Nightmare on Elm Street 4: Dream Master”, Toy brings over 40 years of experience in the film industry as an actress, producer, writer & director.

At the young age of 5 years old, Toy booked her first acting job with a national “Tide” Commercial. From that experience, the proverbial acting bug bit and for the next twenty plus years Toy traversed the world as a professional actor starring in various mediums from our childhood favorites like after school specials “Little Lulu”, to lending an animated voice to the cartoon “Karate Kid”, and her dramatic work on the hit series “The Commish” & the scandalous “OJ Simpson Story” to comedies like, “227”, “Bustin Loose” & “Living Single” and most certainly the TV classics such as “90210” and “A Different World”.

Toy seamlessly made the transition into writing/producing by landing her first job at Quentin Tarantino’s; ‘A Band apart’ commercial division (Mr. Brown) and Music videos division (Mr. Pink) where she produced for acts such as Billy Idol, PDiddy & Mariah Carey. From there Toy moved to NYC to begin producing for MTV’s Room Raiders, Spring Break, Sixteen and underage. With a seasoned career behind the camera, she has seen her fair share of cat-fights, mind blowing medical discoveries and even some beauty queens.

A history deep in all media genres from Feature Films, Scripted TV and Un-scripted (Reality) to Digital programming, Toy has produced shows for Networks such as FOX, WE, Bravo, NBC, E! etc... Toy has been successfully charged to develop, format and deliver broadcast quality programming for shows such as Biography Vanessa Williams, Billy Joel & The Eagles, HBO’s Tracey Ullman special, E! Networks Gastineau Girls, Discovery Sciences’ Ingenious Minds, InDemand Howard Stern TV, to name a few. Her next move was into the digital world working for Hulu on an original program, The Morning After.

Toy continues to Executive Produce and consult for various production companies within the entertainment industry. Toy’s world has been engrossed in all things media, with sights set on creating the most intriguing creative work, whether in front or behind the camera, she will always eat, breathe, live & love all things entertainment! .
