Towards the Light (Chinese: 向着光亮那方) aka "Towards the Bright Side" is a single by Chinese singer Xu Weizhou. The single was officially released on May 2, 2016 as one of the promotional songs of the film Yesterday Once More[1]

Background

Towards the Light music video was first released on April 22, 2016 for the promotion of the film Yesterday Once More but the single was officially released on May 2, 2016. The song was produced by Liu Tong, vice president of Beijing Enlight Pictures and the author of the said movie. This single was the first to achieve top spots in both China V chart and Mandarin chart in Billboard China within the same week[2][3] and the music video topped 1st, three times on China V chart.[4][5][6] The song also ranks the 9th place on YinYueTai's TOP 100 Songs of the year 2016 [7]
