Torn Banner Studios is an independent game studio based in Toronto, Canada. The studio was founded in 2010 by game developers who previously worked on the Half-Life 2 mod Age of Chivalry.[1]

They develop games primarily for Steam. They released their first independently published game Chivalry: Medieval Warfare on 16 October 2012,[2] which received the Indie of the Year award from Indie DB.[3]

In 10 September 2015, they collaborated with develop with Overkill Software to releasing the Payday 2: Gage Chivalry Pack, downloadable content for the Payday 2 featuring elements from Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.[4]

On 2 March 2016, Torn Banner Studios announced the follow-up to Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Mirage: Arcane Warfare, which features similar gameplay but focuses primarily on magic.[5]
