Torigni-sur-Vire is a former commune in the Manche department in Normandy in north-western France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Torigny-les-Villes.[1]

The arms of Torigni-sur-Vire are blazoned : Azure, a 2-towered castle enflamed argent. Canting arms. Form "rébus"=Tour (tower) +ignis (fire) = towers aflame. Actually, the name Torigni comes from low latin:Toriniacum, domain of Taurin.) |
