Tonco is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) east of Turin and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of Asti. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 895 and an area of 11.8 square kilometres (4.6 sq mi).[1]
Tonco borders the following municipalities: Alfiano Natta, Calliano, Castell'Alfero, Corsione, Frinco, Montiglio Monferrato, Villa San Secondo, and Villadeati.
