Titanophoneus ("titanic murderer") is a carnivorous dinocephalian therapsid from the Middle Permian. It is classified within the family Anteosauridae. The type species is Titanophoneus potens.[1] Remains of Titanophoneus have been found at Isheevo in Russia.

Adult skulls are about 80 cm long with a heavy long snout and the total body length is about 2.85 meters.

Size

Titanophoneus is said to reach around 2.85 m (9.4 ft) though some claim it could reach sizes of up to 5 m (16 ft).[2]
