Tirathaba parasiticus is a species of moths of the Pyralidae family.[2] It was described by Lucas in the year 1898.[1][3][4] It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from Queensland and New South Wales.
The wingspan is about 35 mm. The forewings are brown with two faint roundish marks, and a dark area near the base. The hindwings are pale brown, darkening toward the wingtips.
The larvae are carnivorous, and are internal parasitoids of other larvae such as Cryptophaga species.[5]
