Timorese horseshoe bat's range

The Timorese horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus montanus) is a species of bat native to Timor-Leste. Only a single holotype of the Timorese horseshoe bat has ever been collected, so information regarding the species is limited. [1]

Habitat

The specimen was collected from a cave in Timor-Leste, about 1,220 metres (4,000 ft) above sea level.[1]

Conservation status

There are no known threats to the survival of the Timorese horseshoe bat. However, there have been few studies conducted on the bat, and it may already be extinct due to environmental threats on Timor-Leste.[1]
