Tiago Venâncio (born August 19, 1987, Setúbal) is a freestyle swimmer from Portugal, who represented his home country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. He also competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.[1]
On September 2009 he started training and studying in Madrid, and began representing S.E.K. Sierra Oeste. In November 2009 he recovered the national records of the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle (short course) at the Spanish SC National Championships, but lost them in the month of December to Alexandre Agostinho and Diogo Carvalho.
He was also the Portuguese record holder in the 200 m freestyle (long course) until 2014.
He has great rivalry from other Portuguese athletes such as Mario Pereira and Luís Vaz.
