The three-banded butterflyfish (Chaetodon robustus) is a species of fish in the Chaetodontidae family. It is endemic to Cape Verde. Its length is 14.5 cm.[1]
The fish inhabits the center of the Atlantic Ocean, they are also founded on warm tropical waters from Mauritania down to the Gulf of Guinea. They are founded within coral reefs and between 30 to 70 meters deep in the waters.
