Thomas & Friends (previously known as Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends) is a children's television series about the engines and other characters working on the railways of the Island of Sodor, and is based on The Railway Series books written by the Rev. W. Awdry.
This article lists and details episodes from the sixteenth series of the show, which was first broadcast in 2012. This series was narrated by Michael Angelis for the U.K. audiences, while Michael Brandon narrates the episodes for the U.S. audiences. This was also their last series.
This was Sharon Miller's last series as head writer, and it was also the last series to feature episodes written by Miller although she continued to work as voice director. This was also the last series to be produced by Nitrogen Studios.
Some episodes in this series have two titles: the original titles from the U.K. broadcasts are shown on top, while the American-adapted titles are shown underneath.

After Farts attempt, he gives up and returns to the works. Thomas then asks Den to come and help, but Den says he wouldn't leave without Dart. But Thomas ignores that fact. Back at Misty Island, Darts attempt also fails. In the end Thomas realise that Den and Dart can manage things when working together. | ||||||

Voices
Steven Kynman (Peter Sam) joined the voice cast and takes over the role of Butch in the US with Matt Wilkinson taking over the role in the UK from Rupert Degas.
Togo Igawa did not feature (due to working on other television work), resulting in Hiro having a non-speaking role of appearance throughout this series of episodes. Michael Angelis and Michael Brandon left the voice cast after this series.
Ben Small takes over the role of Charlie in the US and William Hope takes over the voice of Bert in the UK and US.
