This One's for You is the debut album of American country music singer Luke Combs. It was released on June 2, 2017, via Columbia Records Nashville. It includes the single "Hurricane".
History
The album's lead single is "Hurricane", which reached No. 1 on Country Airplay.[1] Combs co-wrote all twelve songs on the album. He told Nash Country Daily that he considered it "a good synopsis of who I am" and "I don't think there’s one track that sounds the same as another."[1]
Critical reception
Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic rated the album 3.5 out of 5 stars, praising the ballads and noting that "The tension between Combs' traditional side and modern inclinations is what gives This One's for You some freshness and it surfaces often."[2] Chuck Dauphin of Sounds Like Nashville wrote that "vocals are one thing that Combs has in his favor. You get the feeling that no producer had to coach him to be country", while also praising Combs's songwriting.[3]
Commercial performance
The album debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, selling 35,000 copies, making a total 43,000 units including streams and track sales.[4] It also debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart.[5] The album sold a further 8,700 the following week.[6] It has sold 70,800 copies in the US as of July 2017.[7]
